Who I am

My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam, and I am a queer, Latina artist currently based in Boston. I approach my work with 100% of who I am and where I come from (Venezuela represent!) and seek to make work that honors that. I am an actor, writer, and most importantly a girl who loves art.

In May of 2024, I graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Literature. The students and teachers I met there let me explore my love for honest, yet magical storytelling through devising, performance art, and playwriting which have now infiltrated all aspects of my work. Some inspirations of mine: Alexis Scheer, Ana Mendieta, and Gloria Anzaldúa to say a few.

What is the work I seek to make?

I want be a part of stories of the people we refuse to spotlight and their mothers and grandmothers that didn’t get to see themselves in theatre or art in general. Always rooting for the underdog and hoping that if they see themselves onstage or on the page it brings them at least some comfort and joy.

If that resonates with you, reach out. Let’s play and make something great together.
